All this leads to saying that unfortunately, the highly anticipated Meeting of the Waters excursion was a disappointment. The 1-hour boat ride to and from that area of the Meeting of the Waters was redundant after our ship’s morning passage. After our rafting we were taken for the rum portion of our excursion. A very basic visit to a rum distillery with a tasting at the end.
We met some lovely people, enjoyed the ship, and had a lot of fun. In particular the Viking Vocalists, both those performing in the Star Theater and those in Torshavn, were extraordinary. We built our evenings around the shows and always ended the night with Mark Uno, the guitarist, and sometimes the late night dance party in Torshavn with the Viking band and vocalists featuring Jenifer Rawolle.
